About Stephen Lupe, PsyD

Dr. Lupe is a clinical health psychologist and the Director of Behavioral Medicine for the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Digestive Disease and Surgery Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Lupe completed his master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialization in integrated behavioral health at The Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. Dr. Lupe then completed his predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship in health psychology at the University of Florida Health Science Center. His clinical and research interests include integrated care, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome, eating and swallowing difficulties, brain-gut-microbiome communication, health promotion, disease prevention intervention, and acceptance and commitment therapy. He currently works full-time as a clinician and researcher within the IBD medical home at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
