About Shubha Bhat, PharmD, MS, FCCP, BCACP

Dr. Bhat is a gastroenterology clinical pharmacy specialist in the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. Her clinical focus is on patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), with a special emphasis on medication education, access, monitoring, and health maintenance. Her research focus has been centered on the role and impact of clinical pharmacists in IBD care, optimization of IBD therapies, and integration of biosimilars into clinical practice. Dr. Bhat is also an active member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and South Asian IBD Alliance.

Dr. Bhat graduated from Northeastern University Bouvé College of Health Sciences in Boston, MA, and completed two years of postgraduate residency training at Boston Medical Center and the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also completed an outcomes research fellowship at the University of Colorado and, during this time, obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Science degree.
