Andres J. Yarur, MD, is currently an associate professor of medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He specializes in the care of patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, being a leader in clinical and translational research. His research interests focus on Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis therapeutics, including novel therapies, clinical trials, and optimization of current treatments.

Dr. Yarur is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and has received multiple awards for his work from the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, the Asian Organization of Crohn’s & Colitis, and the United European Gastroenterology Association. He also received the Emerging Leader Sherman Prize in 2023.

Dr. Yarur has numerous publications to his credit that have been published in top peer-reviewed medical journals, including The Lancet, Gastroenterology, Gut, The American Journal of Gastroenterology, Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and many others.
